Good News From God
Good News From God is committed to bringing a person closer to God one step at a time. It is God’s salvation in the language of an average person. Each page is created to strengthen a believer’s relationship with the Savior of the world.
Whether you are not yet a Christian, a new Christian, or a long-time believer, there is something here you can use in your own relationship with God or in helping someone else take their first steps toward the God of the universe.
Knowing Jesus is much more than knowing the Name. It’s placing your faith in Him and what He did for you—discovering all that happened when He died on that cross and opened the door for you to discover, and take to heart…
But your relationship with God is so much more than that prayer of faith to trust in Jesus to be your Savior. It’s the beginning of a life with God’s power and peace living within you, knowing Jesus and all that the Christian life has to offer one lesson at a time.
All Christians need to continually grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Whether slow or fast, sporadic or persistent, a Christian needs to learn and then share with others what God has taught them. So take a step and discover further the Good News from God waiting for you. I pray that this journey will lead you closer to the full and meaningful life Jesus wants you to have.
So, begin today on the seven Jesus Lessons. Learning about Jesus will help strengthen your understanding of who He really is, what He came to do, and all that He is holding out to you in order for you to discover the joy of day-by-day Christian growth.
Credit and Thanks
I would like to give a special thank you to people who have helped make this website possible. I believe there is a benefit in Christians working as a team. It leaves less likelihood that the spotlight will be on human effort. The credit and glory go to God, but it’s nice to say thank you to the people God has brought together to accomplish His work.
— My very longtime friend Dan has been a valuable sounding board for my wild ideas and a source of insights to stimulate my aged thinking further into the twenty-first century. In the occasional times when we were not in perfect agreement, I was the one left humbly reconsidering Dan’s advice.
— Jesse and I just met in the beginning months of my website planning. Our progress together laboring in front of my computer has been an eye-opening and fun experience. Although I hired him to help me in specific areas of the website, we have had fun together (and learned together) as the struggles have been overcome and the goals met. His website link is at the bottom of this page.
— I have known Dave for three years. He has guided me greatly in my feeble attempts to put needed Bible truth into clear usable teaching. Dave has been a pastor to me in the fellowship we have shared, both working on a Bible teaching website and as a most dear friend.
— Nunzia has been an Italian pen-pal in guiding me to the needed Italian grammar in that translation of the Learning About Jesus lessons.
— My dear wife Audrey must not be left out. Thank you for letting me get away with spending the countless hours “hiding” in my den staring at my computer. And also for the little tidbits of literary advice that have kept these pages somewhat more readable. A better valentine I could not find.
